Also I need to tell you all about the amazing night I had on Saturday

It was my friends birthday

So we went out for dinner to DiMaggios which is a lovely Italian restaurant in the West End 

We then headed out for some cocktails 

Here's my gorgeous Strawberry Daiquiri 

So we were all planning on heading home after cocktails 

But I was lucky enough to win a Facebook competition sponsored by Finlandia Vodka

I won Guestlist entry for me and 6 friends

To an amazing club in Glasgow's Merchant City called OVO

We got our own private booth for the night

Access to the exclusive GreyGoose Vodka Bar

Table service all night

 A massive bottle of Finlandia Vodka

 (which had sparklers shooting out of the end when they brought it over)

and two big pitchers of mixers 

I also went to see The Hunger Games on Sunday which I thought was amazing 

Can't wait for the next one!

Stippling Brush

In my That's What I Want - March post

I said that I really wanted a Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Stippling Brush

and I finally got one :)

I didn't want to do a post until I had used it a few times 

So I've been using it all week with my Wake Me Up foundation

and I have nothing but good things to say about it. 

I'm sure you all know all about these brushes 

but for those of you that don't 

Samantha Chapman became a YouTube beauty sensation posting tutorials

She has teamed up with Real Techniques to create this amazing range of brushes 

and they have been a big hit!

I know a few people think that the brush is too small to use as a foundation stippler and would rather use it to apply cream blush's etc.

but I don't have a problem with the size at all

I think it has actually made my make-up routine quicker! 

It gives me a really flawless finish 

It basically buffs the product onto your skin to create an even and airbrushed look

This is the first stippling brush I have used and I 00% prefer it to a regular foundation brush which I find can sometimes leave me looking a bit streaky. 

Highly Recommended product!

Primark Haul

Sooo I had a bit of a splurge yesterday 

As I said the other day I need to start buying holiday clothes so I headed to Primark for some summery styles 

I got  these 2 lovely little tops

I really like the Flamingo design on the grey one I'll probably team it with some denim shorts 

The Gold one isn't really for holiday I just needed some casual T-shirts 

These two playsuits are great

I love the bright colours on the blue one 

The brown one is more of a daytime one to wear over a bikini 

but I might dress it up with some accessories for night time 

This white dress will look great when I have a tan so I'll keep this for toward the end of my holiday!

The navy blue dress has a Swan print and a brown belt 

This is one of my favourite buys and I'll probably wear this before I go away

I LOVE this dress 

sorry about the poor picture quality

I thought the print might be a bit too much but its really nice on!

It's got a High-Low hemline which isn't a style I have wore before but I really like it!

While I was out shopping I also treated myself to something from my March wishlist

but I'll do another post on that

Holiday Shopping

Evening Lovelies 

So it suddenly dawned on me that I only have 2 more pay days until IBIZA :D 

So I thought its about time I start picking up a few bits and pieces to take away with me.

This is my first ever maxi dress

I've always been a bit scared of them for some reason 

but I do like this one, I think I suit it because of my height

It'll look great with some wedges and a big belt to break it up!

LOVE the colours in this dress

nice and bright for holiday

It's got a bright orange skinny belt as well but you can't see it that well in the pic!

It's a strange length as it sits below the knee but isn't maxi. 

Not usually a length I would go for but it was lovely on!

Not really for holiday but I bought these gorgeous earrings as they went with the dress I was wearing to my friends engagement party the other night.
but I will deffo take them away with me!

notice how I'm crouching and I'm still about a foot taller than the other 2! lol

Rimmel

So as you may know Boots has a 3 for 2 offer on all Rimmel cosmetics

As I was too lazy to properly fake tan this weekend I had to nip in and buy some Sun Shimmer 

but at 3 for 2 it would be rude not to buy another 2 Rimmel products

(This is how I justify spending money I don't have!)

So this was my little Rimmel stash 

Wake Me Up foundation in shade 201 - Classic Beige

I've been meaning to buy this foundation since I got a little sample in Cosmo a while back 

I used it going out on Saturday night and I LOVED it. 

The first thing I noticed was the citrus type scent which really does wake you up!

It gives me a nice dewy finish without making me look oily

It gives good medium coverage and stayed put all night

It was a nice change and I think I'll be using this a lot in the near future!

One criticism, In the Boots branch that I purchased this in, there were only 3 shades available 

all these were variations of beige

Fine for me but come on Rimmel welcome to the 21st century, we don't all have beige faces 

In saying that, this is certainly not a problem that is exclusive to Rimmel

It's a problem right across the High Street

Sort it out guys!

Sun Shimmer - Medium Matte 

I've been using this product for YEARS
Basically it's my little life saver if I have been to lazy to tan properly during the week then I'll slap this on before I go out.
but as we all know, If it starts raining or you spill a drink, your in BIG trouble!
I noticed while I was in Boots that they have now brought out a Splash-Proof version which I will deffo be trying when this bottle runs out!

Vinyl Gloss - Pin Up (190)

This is a really nice pink shade
but it's not as bright as it looks.
I've got a few shades from this range and I really like them
The only downside is that they are quite sticky, but that can be expected with most glosses


So that's my little Rimmell stash

Since January this year

I was reading blogs for a long time before hand and wanted to join in the fun :)

I love tutorials in hair and makeup so I can try new looks out for myself. I love to see what people have bought on their latest shopping trips, and because I'm so nosy I like lifestyle posts to hear and see what people have been up to!

4. What is 1 thing you would like to improve on as a blogger/on your blog?

I would like to be able to dedicate more time to blogging which I am working on but a full time job doesn't allow room for much else! I'd love to write blogs that people are genuinly interested in reading so any requests would be welcome!
